This columnist just passed into Iraq from the Habur border gate two days ago and was shocked to see that the situation is even worse than before when he crossed the border three weeks ago …
Truck and tanker traffic has practically come to a halt, with only occasional trucks crossing the border. The border gate, which used to accommodate at last 2,000 crossings a day, is now down to about 200.
