When Yunus Aksoy asked me to write an article for the first issue of California Turkish Times, I was truly honored. I would like to thank Yunus and his staff for the work they are doing and wish them success. The theme that I would like to discuss is how we can change the negative image of the Turk.
People need to know who and what we are - from our actions and contributions to society - not from others who continuously and erroneously feed negative images of the Turkish people."
