Turkey and EU: Practice what you preach
We all learned on Monday that EU membership in 2023 is one of the two main aims of the new Turkish government's program presented by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. The new Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader said Ankara would maintain efforts to achieve EU accession before the centennial of the Turkish Republic and stressed that in the next couple of years the EU process would be accelerated.
