HSYK sidesteps Erdoğan's inspection petition for ex-Prosecutor Öz
The Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) has avoided making a decision on whether to launch an inspection into Zekeriya Öz, a former prosecutor who oversaw a major corruption case and was later reassigned to a less influential position, over his recent Twitter posts, which Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's lawyers had claimed were threatening, libelous and insulting.
