Cruising: Turkey's Izmir hosts 500,000 ship tourists

(ANSAmed) - ISTANBUL, NOVEMBER 19 - The Aegean Turkish city of Izmir will reach over 500,000 cruise passengers by the end of the year, Anadolu Agency reports quoting a statement from the head of Turkey Cruise Platform, Ekrem Demirtas. The city hosted some 2.6 million cruise tourists between 2004 and 2012, and annually aims to reach 2 million cruise tourists.
