"Facebook's 500m users include one in three Britons
More than 25 million Britons, or one in three of the entire population, is now a member of Facebook.

The social networking site has announced it has reached 500 million members worldwide after gaining 100m users in the last five months.
The global figure means eight per cent of the world’s population is now on the site.
After the US, Britain has the second-largest membership of Facebook in the world, according to InsideFacebook, followed by Indonesia and Turkey."
