NICOSIA: Turkish Cypriots went to the polls on Sunday to elect local administrations in their breakaway statelet in the north of long-divided Cyprus.
About 164,500 people were eligible to cast votes for 28 mayors and 268 municipal council members in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), which is recognised only by Turkey."
