"Turkish teachers demand change in literature textbooks
(MENAFN) A recent survey carried out by the Turkish Education Ministry showed that high school teachers are not satisfied with the content of Turkish literature courses on the national syllabus, the Turkish Daily Times reported.
The ministry conducted the survey to see if alterations it made to the content of the courses three years ago have worked or not. According to the survey results, the reorganized content of Turkish literature courses on the national syllabus is not at the level of high school students. Teachers argued that most of the texts in the textbooks were too long and students had difficulties in understanding them."
