"Istanbul pays 42.7 pct of all taxes collected in Turkey
Istanbul is responsible for 42.76 percent of the 82.7 billion YTL ($68.4 billion) in taxes collected in Turkey for January to June 2008, the General Directorate of Public Accounts announced on Sunday."
