Istanbul. The Turkish police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse crowds gathering for a May Day demonstration outside the central office of the main Turkish trade union in Istanbul, AFP reported, citing the Anatolian agency.
There are injured people among the demonstrators, others have been detained, but the number has not been specified."
