"French may vote on Turkey EU membership

The French parliament's lower house has approved a measure that would require France to hold a referendum on countries joining the European Union.
The French National Assembly approved the measure, which appeared to be aimed at Turkey's candidacy for EU membership, by a 48 to 21 vote, the EU Observer reported Friday."
