The Kültepe-Kaniş-Karum excavations that are being carried out under the leadership of Professor Fikri Kulakoğlu of Ankara University's Archaeology Department, are celebrating their 60th anniversary. The goal of the excavations is to reveal huge statues and monuments which are believed to exist along the city walls"
