"Turkish Problem of a German boy’s sexual abuse to an English girl

Sexual abuse, especially involving children, is a growing problem in all societies. Children are often unaware of the dangers, as they lack the necessary maturity and experience, and thus can become easy targets for sexual abuse. As a society we tend to consider sexual abuse a ‘prohibited subject’ not to be discussed, even from the victim’s point of view. The very words ‘victim’ and ‘perpetrator’ would seem to lend themselves to sociological and psychological investigation, but it rarely takes place for fear of negative consequences. It is easier to keep the subject hidden than deal with the consequences of open discussion."
