"Morgan Stanley: Turkey is not only a carry-trade story
The international investment bank, Morgan Stanley, stated that Turkey was not only a carry-trade story.
In its Turkey report published yesterday, Morgan Stanley pointed to the foreign capital flowing to Turkey as the portfolio investments in recent years. Noting that Turkey was highly subjected to hot money and carry trade, Morgan Stanley said: “The recently announced data showed that the investments of the foreign investors in stocks and domestic borrowing securities reached USD 67.2 billion as of January 2007.”"
