"Erdogan expresses strong support for Lebanon
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan talked with Lebanese Premier Fouad Siniora on the phone Sunday night and promised to do his utmost to create a broader international consensus to call for an immediate cease-fire.
Erdogan and Siniora talked after an Israeli strike on a house in Qana on Sunday morning killed at least 56 Lebanese people -- mostly women and children -- who had taken refuge in the building. It was the deadliest single strike so far in the Israeli onslaught against Lebanon in their attempt to reign in Hezbollah guerrillas."
