We are in Brussels for the Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee's 20th meeting. Yes, 20th meeting.
The Turkish wing of the joint committee is comprised of labor, business, art and non-governmental organization representatives, that is, the civilian non-government Turkey. The Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodities Exchanges (TOBB) is in it; the Confederation of Turkish Labor Unions (Turk-Is) is there; so is the Confederation of Revolutionary Workers' Unions (DISK); the conservative Labor Confederation (Hak-Is); Turkish Public Workers' Labor Union (Kamu-Sen), the Turkish Union of Agricultural Chambers (TZOB); foundations, associations, etc... They are all represented on the committee, some as full-fledged members and some on a rotational basis."
