12:14 - 01 September 2005 - Istanbul ranks 23rd among 80 cities worldwide in terms of congress tourism. However, congress tourism still represents a mere 1% of the Turkey's total revenues from tourism.
The World Architects Congress that attracted over 5.000 participants and the World Transportation Congress (4.500 partcipants) were held in Istanbul in 2005 and so will the International Urology Congress (8.500 participants expected) and the European Nuclear Medicine Congress (5.000 participants expected) to mention just a few."
