"EU Ministers Prepare Disputed Turkey Decision

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - EU foreign ministers met on Monday to make final preparations for a landmark decision later this week to open entry talks with Turkey amid renewed evidence of strong opposition to Turkish membership in key EU countries.
As ministers from the 25-nation bloc debated a start date and conditions for negotiations with Ankara, an opinion poll in the French daily Le Figaro showed 67 percent of French voters and 55 percent of Germans oppose Turkey joining the EU. "
