"Last round of EU talks on Turkey set to begin

BRUSSELS - Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende was to start a last round of consultations with European Union leaders next week on Turkey's membership bid to try to get agreement among all 25 EU nations as to whether Ankara is ready to start entry talks.
The Dutch leader, who currently holds the EU presidency, was to 'focus on the decision to start the accession negotiations with Turkey,' said a statement released yesterday."
