Some come for the camaraderie. Some to learn cooking. But others show up just for the food.
'The food is excellent, the environment is good and the people have smiling faces,' said Semanur Kaymak, who lives in North Arlington and attends the Turkish cooking classes at the Hudson United Turkish-American Cultural Association (HUTACA) in Ridgefield.
The classes, held on Saturday afternoons, are taught by Turkish women in the community. They're intended for young Turkish-Americans who may not have learned to cook from their mothers, or for anyone, really, who wants to learn about the culinary tradition of the former Ottoman Empire."
