"TURKEY: CONCERN OVER REPORTED TURKOMEN ARRESTS IN IRAQ
Istanbul, 16 June (AKI) - Turkey has reacted with concern and anger to a Washington Post investigative report of mass arrests of ethnic Turkomen in the Kurdish-controlled oil-rich Kirkuk region of Iraq. In a lengthy article, published on Wednesday, the US daily also cited US military documents that implied American troops where aware and may have participated some of the raids in which more than 250 Arabs and dozens of Turkomen were arrested. The Turkish foreign ministry, on Thursday expressed its concern over the allegations and said it would watch developments closely."
