"Soyer: Greek Cypriots Want To Have Business With Turkey Without Turkish Cypriots
LEFKOSA - TRNC Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer said on Tuesday that Greek Cypriots wanted to have business with Turkish business world without Turkish Cypriots.
Speaking to Bayrak tv channel broadcast in TRNC, Soyer said that Greek Cypriot flagged ships wanted to get a share from the economic potential that was going to come out when Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline started to function.
''That is why they insist on Turkey's opening its ports to Greek Cypriots,'' Soyer said.
Soyer stressed that while Greek Cypriots wanted Turkey to open its port to them, they wanted Gazimagusa port to remain closed to international trade.
''Greek Cypriots don't want Turkish Cypriots to benefit from the economic potential of approximately 5 billion dollars that is going to come out because of their capital selfishness and they do this under the guise of nationalism,'' he commented."
