"Turkey Pledges Further Support to TRNC and Signs New Protocol
Turkey signed a economic and financial cooperation protocol with The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in Lefkosa on Saturday. The protocol was signed by TRNC Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer, Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener and TRNC Economy Minister Dervis Kemal Deniz.
The protocol plans to add more financial support to the TRNC, upping it by $100 million from the already agreed $450 million - a sum decided on in an agreement signed between the two countries in 2003 - to $550 million. "
