Kieran Prendergast, United Nations undersecretary-general for political affairs, yesterday met with Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul to discuss the ongoing Cyprus dispute and to gauge the atmosphere in Turkey.
The meeting was a sign that the stalled peace process on the Cyprus issue might be gaining momentum."
