"IMF tells Turkey to press on with banking, social policy reforms

ANKARA (AFX) - Turkey must push ahead to pass two bills reforming banking and social security law in order to qualify for the next instalment of 10 bln usd stand-by support from the International Monetary Fund, an IMF official said.
The Fund expects Turkey to 'pass the agreed social security reform law and the banking law by the end of this month,' IMF Turkey desk chief Lorenzo Giorgianni told a press conference here after a two-week mission to assess the country's progress. "
