Following today's parliamentary elections, whatever the outcome, there are concrete signs that the diplomatic process will gain new impetus with the Blair initiatives for a solution to the Cyprus problem. The process has been at a standstill, to borrow the often-used clich�, with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan pressed for time and trying to precipitate a solution, while Greek Cyprus leader Papadopoulos has been merely playing for time and stalling any progress over the last nine months since the April referendum. "
