An interview in a Turkish newspaper reflects the Turkish businessmen's approach to the Turkey-EU relations.
Turkey must change �the disturbed Turkish image in Europe citizens� heads. To realize this Mehmet Eksi claims there is a need for a long-term and various projects those not only prepared for touristy advertisement. �If a comprehensive presentation campaign is realized, Turkey would win even EU doesn�t accept to Turkey� says Mehmet Eksi, who is the director of Whichcontent Limited Building Project company. �We must show our similarities properly just like our differences. If an example is needed, Islam in Turkey must be explained to the Europeans in the form of European perception not ours. We must explain that secularism (laic) has a strong structure in Turkey. Because the secularism which has a strong hold in the EU, consists an important part of Europe countries.
