Travelogue by Patryk Pawel Moriak, Link

Historical Crossroad Between Eastern and Western Cultures

Welcome our contributing travel writer Patryk Pawel Moriak. For Patryk "traveling means something more than just nature or landscapes. It gives opportunity to admire beautiful architecture, meet interesting people, see specific wild life and uncommon events, different in every part of the world." Here is the abridged version of his travelogue from the recent journey across Turkey:

Turkey has always fascinated both me and my girlfriend. We've heard that each area of the country has its own spirit, history, landscape and even cuisine. With its wonderful nature, cultural mix and a 10,000 years-old heritage, much of which is still being uncovered, Turkey has so much to offer that it is not surprising one trip there is never enough."

The CIA buzzes over Europe! - Turkish Daily News Dec 01, 2007

"The CIA buzzes over Europe! Saturday, December 1, 2007

Orhan Kemal Cengiz

A dingy, crowded room in a remote airport. Around the man in the middle whose ankles are shackled, a group of six or seven black-clad, black-gloved, black-masked men are in feverish activity. Two are gripping the man tightly. Two others with scissors in their hands are carefully cutting his clothing with unbelievable speed… Cutting off his underwear and leaving him stark naked, they place the cut clothing in a bag. The man's mouth, ears, and crotch are inspected very thoroughly; something hard is inserted into his anus; a nappy is put on him and then new clothes. This operation, occurring in absolute silence with only the use of hand gestures, takes 15-20 minutes to complete. "
