As Hungary becomes Turkey
On Apr. 8, Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s party the Hungarian Civic Alliance (Fidesz) won parliamentary elections to extend his eight-year rule over NATO and European Union (EU) member Hungary. Many say that Hungary is drifting away from democracy under the rule of Orban and is on its way to becoming a second Turkey.
