The majority of Turkey’s USD 20.4 billion automotive exports were destined for European markets
AA – Turkey’s automotive exports have reached USD 20.4 billion between January and November with the majority of shipments destined for European markets. Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) data indicate that out of the country’s over USD 20 billion of auto exports that took place during the January-November period of 2014, 75 percent i.e. USD 15.4 billion worth of automobiles, commercial vehicles and spare parts reached the EU countries. EU markets’ share in Turkey’s auto exports had stood at 69 percent in 2013.
