Museum hosts Getty Institute director
ISTANBUL
Istanbul Modern continues its lecture series that enables prominent museum professionals from the U.S. to meet with Istanbul audiences. As part of the project Prof. Thomas W. Gaehtgens, Director of the Getty Research Institute will be at the museum on Oct. 2. The Getty Research Institute (GRI) is dedicated to a global approach in art-historical research and scholarship. This mission is reflected in all GRI departments, programs, and initiatives, which work in unison to support and advance the “global turn” in art history.
