[Bodrum] The flight from Istanbul to Bodrum takes an hour. The small bus pulls away from the crowded airport and snakes along the coastline to the waterfront in what is described in the guide books as the St. Tropez of Turkey. It is a clear blue day and very hot. The harbor shimmers in the early morning sun. Sail boats of one sort or another bob in the harbor waiting for their crews and passengers to arrive."
