Hundreds of the citizens fleeing the northern Syrian city of Jisr ash-Shughur are headed toward the Turkish frontier some 20 kilometres away. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said his government will keep the border crossing open for legitimate refugees."
