Turkey’s inflation rate declined for a third month in July, confirming central bank forecasts of a slowdown that bolsters the case for keeping interest rates at a record low.
The annual consumer inflation rate fell to 7.6 percent from 8.4 percent the month before, the statistics office in Ankara said on its website today. It was forecast at 7.7 percent, according to the median estimate of 10 economists surveyed by Bloomberg. In the month, prices fell 0.5 percent."
