Every year in January, all those who appreciate beauty, imaginative designs and sophisticated taste, or at least want to be considered as such, reach for Wallpaper magazine, which shows them the directions and names to follow for the next 365 days. This year’s edition of the Wallpaper Awards was especially exciting for the Istanbul residents, who could see the name of their city, alongside Berlin, Seoul, New York and Rotterdam, on the list of places nominated as “Best city” in 2010. And, what a relief, it all happened without mentioning the European Capital of Culture title even once!"
