"‘Takva' named Turkish entry for 80th Oscars International award-winning Turkish movie 'Takva' (A Man's Fear of God) was named Turkey's nominee to run for the best foreign film Oscar at next year's Academy Awards, becoming the second production involving director Fatih Akın to be shortlisted for the prestigious award. Directed by Özer Kızıltan, 'Takva' won the best film award at this summer's Sarajevo Film Festival, adding the festival's Heart of Sarajevo trophy to the film's collection that includes the Fipresci award it received earlier this year at Berlinale and the Cultural Innovation Award it took home from the 2006 edition of the Toronto Film Festival."
