As occurs every November 10, across Turkey, the death of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is remembered today, with the lowering of flags, and the blasting of sirens and horns at 9:05. The first ceremonies commemorating the 67th anniversary of Ataturk's death took place this morning in Ankara, with President Ahmet Necdet Sezer placing a wreath on the Anitkabir, or Ataturk's masoleum."
