"Turkey pledges no bombing cover-up

The Turkish government promised that there would be no cover-up in an inquiry into whether members of the security forces were involved in the bombing of a bookshop last Wednesday.
One of two people charged at the weekend in connection with the attack is a member of the gendarmerie, part of the security forces answerable to the Interior Ministry and responsible for enforcing security in rural areas and often in the front line in the conflict between the Turkish state and PKK Kurdish rebels."
