Turkey's path toward European Union membership might be further complicated by the recent riots in France, the bombings in London and the new government in Germany, a panel of experts told the American Turkish Society earlier this week.
Many Europeans who were skeptical of allowing Turkey to enter the EU to begin with have become even more convinced that it will be too difficult to integrate the predominantly Muslim nation into the EU, journalists and diplomatic observers said."
