Washington Post: EU is shortsighted
The Washington Post has dubbed the EU’s hesitation on Turkey’s accession as “shortsightedness”, adding that bringing the accession talks to a halt could have grave consequences for Europe and for the US. “Turkey’s failure could enrage the Muslim population living in EU countries,” the article read. “It is no time for the EU to sway.” The article also suggested that the EU’s approach towards Middle and Eastern European countries have resulted in stable democracies, compared to US’s “invasion” policies."
