Brussels, 30 June (AKI) - As the issue of Turkey's bid to join the European Union continues to stir up political sentiments and divisions within the EU, the European Socialist Party has created a blog designed to discuss Turkish entry and enhance dialogue. ''We want to increase communication with the Turks and Internet offers the opportunity to reach a vast audience' explained the European Socialist Party vice president, Jan Marinus Wiermas, who is also the party's specialist in the enlargement process. The issue of Turkey's entry has become topical following the vote by the French and Dutch population against the new European Constitution, which analysts say showed their concern regarding the enlargement process which, they feel, might put their jobs at risk and increase the economic crisis.
