The Greek newspapers have widely covered the visit by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Washington and his meeting with US President George W. Bush.
Politis led with news of the meeting. During the Erdogan-Bush meeting, Bush asked US Secretary of State Condollezza Rice to investigate direct flights from Washington to Ercan Airport in Turkish Cyprus, the paper wrote. The paper also noted about Erdogan's content with Bush's approach to the Cyprus issue. "
