ISTANBUL: Pakistan and Turkey are working on preferential tariff arrangements, which will give more incentives to investors and boost bilateral trade, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said on Friday.
�You cannot survive with a wall of high tariff barriers around you, this is a thinking of yesterday,� Aziz said, at a breakfast meeting with the Turkish Foreign Relations Economic Board. He said this was the age of increasing productivity, competitiveness and low cost production. The prime minister talked about relations between Pakistan and Turkey, economic and structural reforms in Pakistan, and ways to increase bilateral trade and investment."
