Expectations of six million tourists traveling abroad in 2005 have galvanized tourism companies worldwide. The Greek Cyprus trying to acquire a share of the market has resorted to sending threats to travel agencies.
Isolation policies and embargoes by powerful states in the world have severely hampered economic progress in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) due to. The Greek Cypriot Administration has however, gained the support of prominent countries and received a larger share of the cake."
