LONDON (AFX) - Britain remains strongly committed to Turkey becoming a full member of the European Union, Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said on the eve of the start of the British EU presidency.
'The British government remains strongly committed to Turkey joining the European Union,' he told parliament as he set out London's plans for its six-month turn at the EU helm. "
