Italian Foreign Minister Gianfranco Fini said the European Union would act with insanity and foolishness if it said no to Turkey's accession just because of its Muslim identity, since the candidate country's EU entry would be 'the most concrete evidence that there is no confrontation between Christianity and Islam.'"
