"SUNY ship with Turk-Yank crew cruises as summer ambassador

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Students from the State University of New York and from a sister college in Turkey are the crew aboard a SUNY training ship in international seas this summer.
The 17-ton, 565-foot Empire State VI of SUNY Maritime College in Throggs Neck ships off each summer for a sea tour that helps train cadets for maritime professions. This year the crew of 585 SUNY students will join with Turkish students studying under one of SUNY's international programs. "
