"Syria: PKK is Terrorist and We are in Cooperation with Turkey
ISTANBUL - Syria held the same views on the terrorist group the PKK as Turkey and Damascus was co-operating with Turkey to halt the PKK activities, Syrian Interior Minister Gazi Kenan said Wednesday.
Both Syria and Turkey could be affected from the current unstable situation in northern Iraq, a situation that promotes separatism, Kenan said.
“We believe in the integrity of Iraq and are opposed to separatism,” he said.
The Syrian Interior Minister was in Istanbul to attend a meeting of ministers from countries bordering Iraq to discuss regional security."
