Anatolian Target Market Increases HP Sales

"Anatolian Target Market Increases HP Sales

Until a few years ago, there was not a big demand for computers, apart from big cities like Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara. Now, computer sales have surged in Anatolia.

This ever-growing interest for technology has directed both foreign and domestic computer firms towards Anatolia. The U.S computer firm Hewlett Packard's (HP) sales in Turkey which has discerned the trend and launched the program 'Hedef Anadolu' ('Anatolia is the Target') two years ago, have soared 350 percent in a single year. Last year, HP saw 37 percent sales increase in Turkey while total computer sales in Turkey reached a 25 percent increase of YTL1,2 million. HP Turkey's Personal Systems Group Director Serdar Ucar indicates the sales in small cities have been an important factor in their high performance."
