ISTANBUL - Anadolu Agency (A.A) President and Head of the Executive Board Dr. Hilmi Bengi said on Tuesday that they aim to make the A.A a world agency.
In an interview with the Technology Channel at Istanbul's Maltepe University, Bengi said, ''the A.A was established on April 6th, 1920 in line with the directives of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Ataturk stated that the A.A was established in order to meet the Turkish and foreign public opinion's need to get correct information. The A.A has been exerting efforts to transmit news and photographs from all parts of Turkey and all around the world without making any concessions from the principle of accurate journalism since the date it was founded. The A.A has been the only address for journalists in Turkey for long years.''"
